Zucchini Garlic Bites

If you’re following food trends these days, you’ll see that bite-sized treats are all the rage. Big meals have been benched in favor of bite-sized meals which not only taste great but are also nutritious. If you have vivid imagination, the possibilities are endless. Crispy bite-sized meals taste great, but they are often full of calories as well.

If you want a healthy bite-sized meal, though, there are plenty of options to pick from. Take these zucchini garlic bites for example – they are simple to prepare even for total noobs and full of essential nutrients great for your health.

The tasty treat is full of fiber, protein, vitamin C, carbs, and whatnot else.

Here’s a portion of their nutritional profile:

Zucchinis, as you may already know, are among the healthiest vegetables you can eat. They are full of choline, pantothenic acid, zinc, iron, selenium, vitamin E, water, fiber, etc (the list goes on and on). Consuming them regularly is said to prevent cardiovascular problems as well as other serious conditions.

Thanks to these tasty bites, you can now easily include zucchinis into your diet.

Here’s how:


  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup zucchinis
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 garlic clove
  • A bit of salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons chives
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce dip


First, preheat the oven on 400F. While you wait for it to get hot, start with the preparations. Shred the zucchinis first – you’ll need around a cup. Now, squeeze them a few times and try to get as most moisture out of them as possible. Let them “dry” out a bit on a paper towel, then grate the garlic and mix everything in a bowl.

Once you’re done, make tiny balls of the mixture and put them on a previously oil-coated baking sheet in a pan. Bake them for 15 minutes until they’re golden brown.

These bites go great with a marinara dip.

Here’s how to prepare it:


  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 cans tomatoes
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 4 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon oregano (dried)


Take a skillet and bring 6 tablespoons of olive oil to a simmer, then add 1/3 diced onions in. When caramelized, add the tomato sauce and tomatoes along with ½ a cup white wine. Add the other ingredients in as well, stir while the mixture thickens and bring it to a boil.

Once you’re satisfied with the consistency, let the marinara dip cool down and enjoy the tasty and healthy zucchini garlic bites.
