Dani Ceballos fired Arsenal into the FA Cup semi-finals as the Spaniard’s stoppage-time strike clinched a dramatic 2-1 win at Sheffield United on Sunday.

The on-loan midfielder slotted home a low, angled drive to win the tie in dramatic fashion, after David McGoldrick’s hooked finish just a few minutes earlier looked to have ensured extra time at Bramall Lane.

Nicolas Pepe’s first-half penalty appeared to have sent the visitors to Wembley – the forward’s eighth goal of the season – only for David McGoldrick to stab home an equaliser with just three minutes left to play.

However, the on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Ceballos settled a hard-fought quarter-final in the final moments.

The win adds another fixture to Arsenal’s already crammed post-restart schedule but they will welcome it as they continue their pursuit of a European place.
